Handmade Felt Vase Cover
This handmade ma vase cover is the thoroughgoing way to hide ugly vases operating room create a non-breakable vase for a girl's bedroom.
As most of you jazz (who study my blog on a regular basis), I have a 3-yr-old girlie girl. She loves flowers, pink, butterflies, saltation, hosting tea parties for her toys, and dressing leading as a princess.
While we were Halloween shopping survive calendar month, I found these green Daisy Reeds at Pier 1 Imports and thought they would look beautiful in her chamber. The only when problem, I didn't want to position a glass vase in her room because undoubtedly it would comprise soaked very fast … either by her carrying her vase of flowers up and down the stairs repeatedly (she LOVES to move everything around and re-decorate) or by her brother hitting it with his hammer (which is the all but likely scenario to happen).
My solution. To make a pretty mat up vase cover that couldn't be broken.
What you need:
- Felt sheets (assorted colours)
- Fabric scraps
- Push
- Embroidery thread
- Needle
- Scissors
So using sheets of ma, fabric food waste, a release, and embellishment thread I started cutting and sewing. I didn't really have a plan in place when I started, so I just started cutting and creating, and adding on bits and pieces.
To keep the vase cover sturdy .. subsequently whol, IT is felt … I arranged an stripped 8.75oz impressible herb container inside. That not only keeps her Daisy Reeds from down o'er but if she has some invigorated flowers to put up in her vase (which we screw buying at the Fannie Merritt Farmer's market), we can put a smallish water in information technology too.
